Kinning Park Complex 30th Anniversary Free Festival

 30 years ago Kinning Park Complex was threatened with closure by the council -when a group of young women and mothers stood up and demanded it be put into community hands. 

They occupied the building 24/7 for 55 days straight, leading to a victorious community buyout. 

The free festival celebrates this incredible piece of Glaswegian activist history  with 55 days of activism, events, heritage, and celebration from the 3rd of May until the 27th of June 2026.
